Toy Double Decker Bus Dinky Routemaster Made in England

This is a great find ... a red double-decker bus made by Dinky Toys (Meccano Ltd.) from the 1960's. It's a Routemaster Bus, No. 289, and is also marked, "Made in England". The advertising banner is for "Esso Safety Grip tyres". This bus is in great condition and displays well. It has all the original "signs", except for the one on the front. There's a driver and one passenger and even has the pole at the back, which is often missing. Paint loss is minimal - really, all this vehicle needs to go on your shelf is a wiping with a damp cloth. Length: 4¾ in.; height: 2 3/8 in.; width: 1½ in.
